It was a nice day but VERY windy! *lol* But everyone was awesome and so much fun to work with! This was hard to pick only a few images to show. The food and cupcakes and flowers...there was alot of gorgeous images! CanadInns did another great meal and the priest at the church was very nice and pretty funny! :)

(The brides rings had belonged to the grooms mother who passed away. They are just beautiful and what a special thing for Crysal and Dave to have them!)




Thanks for having me a part of your day you guys! I especially loved following you to the hotel and honking my horn. Our little city is so funny. Did you see all the looks our 3 vehicles were getting? ;)

More CCMA fun

I took this one pic before the show started. I wanted to respect the "no flash photography rule". :) My pics actually turned out better without the flash anyways. It's REALLY dusty in the MTS centre!

We were in box seats and we watched them do the tear down. We pretty much stayed until the MTS people kinda kicked us out. *lol* Right after this picture we saw Beverly Mahood walking and I yelled "HI BEVERLY! I MET YOU" *lol* There was more to the conversation but it's silly and a little embarassing! ;)

Crystal Shawanda performed at the CCMA After Party at Blush Ultraclub. The bar was right across the street from the MTS Centre where the awards were held. She did a really good job and is just absolutely GORGEOUS! Very friendly and she seems very appreciative of her new fame!


I got this picture just after he performed "Blame it on that Red Dress" and there were actually 3 girls in the bar up on the stage dancing because they had on red dresses. Well ok...they looked orange to me...but whatever. ;) Not the best pic but that is what happens when drunk people take pictures. *lol*

It was just a fun fun time! THANKS to all of the country artists who spent there time performing all over Winnipeg leading up to the show! It was an amazing experience for all of us to get to have.

CCMA - Fan Fest

What an amazing Saturday!! 16 country artists/groups performing over a span of 4 hours! It was a beautiful day (even when the sky dropped some HUGE rain drops) and everyone was in good spirits!

Winnipeg = Nashville North

Nothing better in my opinion than country music! And with FanFest and being at the CCMA's it was a very happy weekend for me! :)

Then I decided that I REALLY wanted to meet The Wilkinsons. So before the set was done I headed over to the signing tent and got in line. I was there OVER an hour and by the time I got near the tables The Wilkinsons left! *le sigh* Lisa Brokop also left before I got there. *pout*

BUT....

Aaron Pritchett was still there and I am not even sure how much longer he stayed after I got up there. He was really nice and actually remembered me. We met a few months before when he played in Portage la Prairie. He signed my guitar! I told him I was still practicing and will try and learn some of his music so when he plays here again I can come on stage! *lol* I actually said "If I don't know it by then, I'll just fake it." To which he responded "Oh just like I do!" He is so cute and funny! Love that guy!!

Also Jason Blaine! He was the only other artist left standing with Aaron and by this point they had been OFF stage over 1 hour. Super nice guy and I think he has a long career ahead of him.

Another person I was excited to see was Paul McGuire. He is a host on CMT and was the host of the CMT KARAOKE STAR which I was a part of. He recognized me (even without the blond hair) and came out of the fenced in area to chat for a few minutes and take a pic. He is a very genuinely nice guy! :)

Portage la Prairie - Daily Graphic

Yesterday a reporter from the local newspaper called my parents for an interview regarding the CMT Karaoke Star! So me and the family went out to grab the paper and the first thing we see is.....


.....a picture of me on the top left of the front page!


Then as soon as you opened the paper this was on page 3. It takes up half the page! They also used a picture of me and Beverly Mahood.

Thanks to my friend Chuck who took this picture for me the night of the Winnipeg CMT Karaoke show taping. :)

I think this is the first time I've been in the paper since I was 5 posing with the Beaver Lumber Beaver. *lol*

I will be on tv tonight! :)

I am one of the Top 10 Winnipeg contestants on CMT's Chevy Karaoke Star!

The show was taped back on May 14th of this year. It's been a long wait but it's finally here!!!!

It will air on CMT Canada tonight at 7pm CST. CMT is Country Music Television.

Voting goes for an entire week until Sept 4th. which is the next show airdate. At the beginning of that show they will announce the winner of the Winnipeg Wild Card.

Muriel gets her own post!

Muriel is Tamara's grandmother. She was turing 90 years old on August 24th...the day after the wedding! They surprised her and it was just so sweet.

She absolutely was one cool lady! She would pose everytime she saw my camera and she was just so sweet! Very full of life! :)

So Muriel has this white hat with a pink flower. What I hear is that she wears this hat ALL the time. Now before the wedding this hat went missing. She was rather perturbed that she couldn't find it. Well the surprise was that for her birthday they had a cake made as an exact replica of this hat. Muriel was so cute. She even said onto the mic "But it's Tamara and Richards wedding....not my birthday!"

I think she loved the cake and was VERY happy to get her hat back. It was immediately on her head...and stayed there the rest of the night!

I still have to find out who made the cake....but they did a really awesome job!

From me to you: HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY MURIEL!
